USAF Seven Summits Challenge

The USAF 7 Summits Challenge is dedicated to positively highlighting the US Air Force, building esprit d ’corps among Airmen, and honoring comrades who have fallen in the line of duty. It was created in 2005 by two active duty Air Force members and has grown to include 20 US Airmen. All members of the USAF are welcome to join. As an unofficial Air Force mountaineering team, all trips to date have been paid for using personal funds. For Mt. Everest, the organization will require substantial fundraising to meet their goal.

This team of driven patriots has successfully raised the US Air Force flag from the summit of six of the world’s seven continents. They have an unblemished history of safety and success – a tribute to their military training in risk mitigation, mission planning, and teamwork. They have one peak, Mt. Everest, remaining to complete their formidable challenge and put the US Air Force in the history books as the first military to have its members stand atop the 7 Summits.
