Meet The Team
Job Title: V-22 Pilot
Favorite Memory: Celebrating my 27th birthday half way up Mt. Kilimanjaro with nine 7 Summits Challenge team members and a dozen singing Africans who made me a 'cake' and wrote on it with jam. The sense of teamwork and community was awesome!
Take Away: Pushing your personal boundaries, whether it is through foreign travel or unique physical challenges, is an essential part of the human experience. We could just read about different cultures and watch documentaries on adventures, but the only way to truly understand our world, and ourselves, is to get up and experience it on your own.

It was truly humbling to see how our hectic tech-filled lives compared to those of the ancient tribal cultures in Tanzania. Everyone should have the opportunity to view their own way of life through this awesome frame of reference.

Job Title: Former Air Force Public Affairs Officer
Favorite Memory: My favorite memory from climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro was watching my best friend, Jaime Rivas Harvey, make the summit after a hard fight up. To have all ten of us summit was an incredible, emotional accomplishment. A Favorite Quote:"My people don't climb mountains...", said by Jaime Harvey, referring to the fact that she's from New Orleans, which is 14ft below sea level!

Take Away: I love climbing just for climbing. I can't tell you why I love it any more than I can tell you why I act dumb in front of girls. It's a natural instinct to want to be on top of a mountain when you see it. Getting there is all of the fun, and the best moments of my life have been on summits. Don't believe me? Try it!

Job Title: Pararescueman
Favorite Memory: Getting belayed down the "grog cliff" to retrieve the camp spoon I tossed with the dish water at the mountain hut in Ruth Gorge, Alaska. Due to the nature of what had gone down the cliff, I wore yellow dish cleaning gloves to actually get the spoon, ha ha!
Take Away: Knowing your principles gives you more versatility than knowing how to do it one way really well. Never forget that the quest for the Holy Grail is about the quest, not the grail.
