Age: 33

Job Title: V-22 Pilot

Favorite Memory: Celebrating my 27th birthday half way up Mt. Kilimanjaro with nine 7 Summits Challenge team members and a dozen singing Africans who made me a 'cake' and wrote on it with jam. The sense of teamwork and community was awesome!

Take Away: Pushing your personal boundaries, whether it is through foreign travel or unique physical challenges, is an essential part of the human experience. We could just read about different cultures and watch documentaries on adventures, but the only way to truly understand our world, and ourselves, is to get up and experience it on your own.

Favorite Memory: My favorite memory from climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro was watching my best friend, Jaime Rivas Harvey, make the summit after a hard fight up. To have all ten of us summit was an incredible, emotional accomplishment. There's something about physically climbing a mountain-- it makes the minor "hills" we encounter in our day seem much more surmountable..
